Civil Wedding in The Philippines: Wedding Can Never Occur Without A Marriage License
Requirements
the Philippines
A simple civil wedding ceremony can be held in a courtroom, a mayor’s office, or somewhere
else where there’s an available solemnizing officer. But regardless of the venue, a civil
wedding can never occur without a marriage license.
A marriage license can be obtained from the local civil registrar of the city or municipality where
either of the marrying parties habitually resides. It is valid for 120 days from the date of
issuance.
