Health-Related Fitness
These includes exercise activities that a person usually does to improve fitness and wellness
and to stay healthy. How well the systems of your body work.
- Cardiovascular endurance
The ability of your heart, blood vessels, lungs and blood to deliver oxygen and nutrients to all
of your body’s cells while you are being physically active. (3-minute Step Test)
- Muscular Endurance
This refers to the ability of a muscle or a muscle groups to sustain movement against
resistance in a longer period off time. (Push up)
- Muscular Strength
This refers to the capacity of the muscles to exert maximum force against strength (Plank)
- Flexibility
This refers to the ability of the body to do wide range of movements without undue strain to
the joints and muscles. (Zipper Test)
- Body Composition
This refers to the percentage of fat in the body in relation to the percentage of lean body
tissues which make up the muscles and bones. (BMI)
Skill-Related Fitness
These involves activities that are important to succeed in skillful activities including sports
events. It forms the foundation toward an athletic performance.
- Speed
The ability to move quickly in a given distance over a period of time. (40 Meter Sprint)
- Agility
It is the ability off the body to shift direction from one place to another. (Hexagon Agility
Test)
- Power
This refers to the ability to exert maximum force within the shortest period of time. (Stand
Long Jump)
- Reaction Time
The ability of our body to respond to a particular stimulus in the quickest possible time.
(Stick Drop Test)
- Balance
The ability off our body to maintain equilibrium in a static or dynamic condition. (Stork
Balance Stand Test)
- Coordination
This refers to the ability to use one’s body parts and senses altogether accurately and
efficiently to perform a task or produce a particular movement. (Paper Juggling)
- Static Stretching
Requires to move a muscle as far as it can go without feeling any pain.
- Dynamic Stretching
It involves the active tightening of your muscles and moving your joints through their full
range of motion throughout the stretch.
