Duration of Session 52 minutes
Objectives 1. Knowledge: To enable teachers to support each other to continuously improve their content and pedagogical knowledge, practice, skills, and attitudes 2. Skills: To improve the teaching-learning process that will lead to improved learning among the students 3. Values/Attitudes: To nurture successful teachers; To foster a professional collaborative spirit among school heads, teachers, and the community as a whole Resources Laptop, Internet and Power point on Program and Speaker’s lecture Introductory Activity Prayer: (Optional) Nationalistic Song: IVP Roll Call : House Rules/Session Norms: Priming: SHARE The topic dealt with creating piece in the Google classroom, the initial discussion was tackling the possible problems of the new normal especially when using the Google classroom, and the following were found to be the foreseeable problems: (1) Connectivity, (2) Load/ Data, (3) availability of Gadgets. DISCUSS The following were explained as the things to remember in order to create a google classroom; (1) search google classroom application, (2) create a class, that includes class name, section, subject, room, (3) create a class code. ACTIVITY The speaker then enumerated the different steps in creating a Google classroom; (1) Search the application, (2) Create the google classroom, (3) add class code, (4) how to make announcements pertaining to the subject, (5) How to create an assignment in the Google classroom, (6) How to Create a quiz via the use of Google forms. A practicum on how to join a class was done as part of the workshop. PLAN The speaker also showed how to mute when there are unruly students to minimize online bullying. The teachers where then asked to make their own Google classroom for their specific subjects and print screen it to submit Clincher The event promoted camaraderie amongst teacher –participant and further understanding of the programs for the New Normal and thereby will ensure that the Learners will still be able to cope and learn despite the difficulties of Modular or Online learning.
