➢ PRE – OPERATION CHECK-UP ON FARM TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
1. Tires – it must have the correct air pressure, tread depth, balance
and the wheels of the vehicle must be properly aligned.

2. Brake fluid - It is necessary to flush and replace your brake fluid

periodically, you should always take special care to protect your
brake fluid from contact with water, especially when topping off
the fluid

3. Fuel - Cleaning the fuel system periodically can ensure your farm
equipment performs efficiently, extend the life of the engine,
improve engine performance, and increase fuel economy.

4. Water - it is very important that you only check your water levels
when the engine is cold. The water in your farm equipment
circulates around the engine and helps to keep it cool. With no
water in the system, your machine runs the risk of rapidly
overheating, which in turn can cause engine damage.

5. Oil - The oil in your engine is the fluid that keeps everything
operating smoothly. Over time, your engine will lose oil, and if it
runs out completely, it will seize, which is just about as bad as it
sounds.

6. Lubricants - are the life blood of oil wetted machinery. Lubricant,

fuel, and other key fluid analyses provide critical early warning
information indicative of machine failure.

7. Battery - it is important to test your battery and electrical system

regularly, not just when it's starting to show signs of weakness.
