The service technician may also use VIMSpc to calibrate the truck payload system. This procedure may be used in place
of the "PAYCAL" procedure that is initiated via the VIMS keypad module.

Procedure

1. Connect the service tool to the RS-232 VIMS service port.

2. Establish communications with the onboard system with VIMSpc.

3. Click on the "Configure" menu on the VIMSpc menu bar.

4. Click on the "Calibrate Truck Payload" option that is located in the drop-down menu. The following dialog box will
be shown on the service tool.

5. Ensure that the truck body is empty. Carryback weight will affect the payload measurement.

6. Operate the empty truck to a minimum ground speed of four mph on hard level ground.

7. Move the transmission gear selector to the neutral position and allow the truck to coast to a stop. DO NOT use
the service brakes or the retarder.

If the calibration was not successful, an error message will inform you that the proper conditions for the payload
calibration were not met.

Repeat this procedure until the payload calibration has been completed successfully. Click on the "OK" button in order
