Elementary Band Rubrics

This rubric evaluates elementary band students across four areas: reading and performing rhythm accurately, playing music accurately, playing their instrument with proper technique and posture, and understanding music notation. For each area, the rubric lists specific criteria and provides a scale from 1-4 to assess student performance, with 1 being limited accuracy and 4 being performed with high accuracy and fluency. A score of 4 represents excellence in all areas of rhythm, pitch, tone, technique, and understanding of notation.
