Every day, we are exposed to thousands of negative influences from the media and our friends,
which is worsened by the terrible fact that we spend more time with them than we do with our parents,
so we need to manage how to cope with this pressures. Character formation is a deeply internalized
pattern of values and attitudes, as well as the actions that follow that is commonly developed in
precognitive phases of life through natural and normal educational patterns appropriate for young
children. It is important to study character formation because it helps us understand where does the
attitude and personality of a person coming from and the more we study about it, the more we can
understand and control it. As a police or law enforcement officer in the future studying character
formation is very important because this matter is aimed to teach us students human development
theories that will help us to develop nationalistic and patriotic character while we serve the PNP
organization and follow the rules and regulations outlined in the constitution and code of conduct and
as well as ethical standards. This can also help us to develop, for example is by knowing what is right and
evil, the inborn desire to serve, kindness, compassion, and love of God, family, community, and country.
Without these qualities, a student can become a very brilliant and clever criminal who uses criminology
to get around the law and commit crimes with freedom. Character formation is an individual inside job,
its being honest all the time and not sitting back or doing nothing while evil is happening.
Having good character is great, having good character means that your parents had done a good
job raising you as their child. Having a good character is also beneficial to you. Being honorable and
honest in the work you do and in the people around you makes you the best and important to them.
Character grows, our character develop through time, more accurately our character is develop through
experiences and what we choose to learn and do from them.
