Lesson MUSIC OF LOWLANDS OF LUZON: EVALUATES
MUSIC AND MUSIC PERFORMANCES WITH
7-8 RUBRICS ON MUSICAL ELEMENTS AND STYLES

Philippine music is one of the most diverse and richest musical cultures. It
describes the traditional and cultural impacts and influences of the different
civilizations in Asia, colonizers like the Spaniards and the Americans to our country.
These influences affected the different practices of the Filipinos, most specially in the
world of music.
Introductory Message

A module is a type of learning resource that is essentially self-contained, self-


instructional package with learning paced by the student according to his or her
individual needs and ability (Ali, et.al,2010). It requires the learners to interact
actively with the instructional materials rather than simply allowing them to read
the materials passively (Dick and Carrey, 1990).

For the facilitator:

This module adheres to the learning competencies of the K-12 Curriculum.


This module helps the learners evaluates music and music performances with
rubrics on musical elements and styles. This module is a useful learning material
that provides the learning objectives, pretest, lesson proper, enrichment activities,
generalization, application, assessment and additional activities

For the learner:

This module is created to give meaningful learning of the music of the lowlands
of Luzon through clear and comprehensive discussions. Through the lesson, you will
evaluate music and music performances with rubrics on musical elements and
styles. This module is the culmination of your musical journey to the music of the
lowlands of Luzon.

From your previous modules, you were tasked to watch and perform the
different types of music from the lowlands of Luzon from devotional/ liturgical music
to its secular music. It is expected that you have acquired the different skills needed
to accomplish the activities in this module.
