This is the screenplay of a take -off made based in the movie µthe
exorcist¶. The take-off was performed by students of the first year of high school
(1° A) and the students are: Isabela Saraiva, Lucas França, Luigi de Lucena,
Marcelo Champloni, Maria Sckaff, Matheus Ferreira, Samuel Domingos and
Thiago Oliveira.
The director was Maria Sckaff, the editor was Marcelo Champloni, the
producer was Matheus Ferreira, the camera man was Luigi de Lucena, who
took the costumes was Thiago Oliveira, who wrote the screenplay was Isabela
Saraiva, who took care of all the places was Lucas França and the musical
producer was Samuel Domingos.

The characters are:

Regan (D) ± Maria.
Regan¶s Mother (M) ± Isabela.
Bishop (B) ± Thiago.
Father (F) ± Marcelo.
Digger 1 (D1) ± Matheus.
Digger 2 (D2) ± Lucas.
Scene 1
In a place with sand.
Are in the scene the DIGGER 1, the DIGGER 2 and the BISHOP.
The digger 1 is with the bishop digging. The digger 2 is digging too, but in other
near place.
D1 - Hey, hey come here!
D2 - What happened?
Bishop sees and go there.
D1 - I have just found something.
B - What is this?
D1 - I don't know. Maybe a stone.
B - Give me. Let me just take a look.
They feel something strange.
D2, looking vacantly - Did you feel it?
D1 - What?

M- I was just asking, slept well?
D- Yes mom, what do we have to lunch?
The window opens by itself.
M, going to close the window - Who did open the window? Ow , it¶s windy today,
it isn¶t ?
D, going away- Ow, I¶m not hungry anymore! I¶ll back to my bedroom, try to
sleep again.
M- Sleep again?
D- Yes, and I don¶t have anything important to do today« Except a game to
play.
M- What game?
D- Is a game that the captain howdy answer questions asked by me.
M- All right.
Scene 3
In Regan¶s bedroom.
Are in the scene the MOTHER and the DAUGHTER(Regan).
M- The dinner is on the table. Let¶s go downstairs to eat .
D- I don¶t wanna eat now.
M- But you have to, you didn¶t eat anything today.
D, seriously- You don¶t rule me.
M- What?
D- Bitch.
M, disappointed - Regan! You have never been this way with me. What
happened with you?
D, defiantly- People change.
D, starting to sing the music µI will survive¶- Go, now go, walk out the door«
The two ones start to dance the music µI will survive¶.

Scene 4
At the door of Regan¶s bedroom.
Are in the scene the MOTHER and the DAUGHTER(Regan).
M, coming -Time to wake up, today you have doctor to go!
D, seriously- Hospital?

D, going back to the bedroom - I am perfectly normal. That isn¶t nothing wrong

M, ordering ± You must do some exams!

The two ones go away.

Scene 5
In the living room.
Are in the scene the FATHER and the MOTHER.
M, after open the door for the father ± Good morning.
F ± Good morning.
M - Won¶t you sit down?
F - Yes, thanks.
The two ones sit down.
F ± How are you?
M ± Fine, thanks.
F ± Why you called me? Where are my sweet Regan?
M, a little sad ± So, she¶s with a problem«
F ± Dear, she¶s growing. Teens usually prefers the µwrong way¶.
M, trying to explain ± No, you¶re not understanding me! I Think the girl in that
room isn¶t Regan anymore. I¶ve made some exams with her and the doctor said
that he never saw a girl who loves play boy the way Regan loves.

F ± Yes, the exorcism!
M, worried and sad ± No!

Scene 6
At the living room.
Are in the scene the MOTHER, the FATHER, the BISHOP and the DAUGHTER
(Regan).
M, after open the door for the father ± You really will exorcise my daughter?

The bishop enters the room comically.

At this time, Regan appears in the living room.
D, looking for the father and the bishop ± What are you doing here? Get out of

B ± You sure need.
The bishop and the father chase Reg an, take her to the her bed, chain up her
and while this, Regan says:

The bishop, after take the Bible, starts to pray µour father¶ in Latin.
D ± Shut up!
The bishop continues to pray.
F- Now, I¶ll get the holy water. After say this, the father starts to say µamen¶ with
a piece of plant after every time the bishop ends the pray.
D , restless ± No! Go away!
D ± Son, you leave me! Why? Why you leave me, you killed me!
F, yelling ± Stop performing be my mother!
D- Son, why me, why?
F, yelling again ± Stop, STOP!
The father go away from the bedroom.
 Scene 7
At the living room.
Are in the scene the MOTHER and the FATHER.
The father enters the room and sits down.
M ± How is it going?
F ± Too bad, Regan was performing be my mother who died last week.
M, sad ± Why this happens with my daughter?
The two ones listen a loud laugh (Regan¶s laugh) and go running to the
bedroom.

Scene 8
Regan¶s bedroom.
Are in the scene the MOTHER, the BISHOP, the FATHER and the DAUGHTER
(Regan).
The bishop is died on the bed, t he father and the mother enter the room running,
and the mother sits in the ground.
M ± Ow, my daughter!
F, going until the bed ± You killed him! You killed him!

D, laughing ± Are you kidding?

F ± Possess me! Get out of this body!
Regan starts to dance, and so everyone dance with her the music µminha

Regan¶s bedroom.

The spirit possesses the father and kills him. Regan cry.
M, hugging the daughter ± My daughter!
