Telehealth And Telemedicine

Telehealth and Telemedicine is a way to communicate with Health Care workers such as
Doctors and Nurses regarding to health and medical issues. This communication is held through
digital assets such as mobile phones, computers, laptop, tablet, telephone etc. The reason why
this was introduced is that, in this whole wide world there are many sick peoples who cannot
go to the hospitals and meet the health care workers face to face because of many reason such
as, traffic jam, being in remote area, emergency, having no vehicle, immobile, doesn't feel like
going to the hospital and many other reasons. Most importantly this is cheaper than seeing
doctors in person.

Telehealth can play a very important role in the field of nursing and practices if the
peoples are more consider and use this health care system method. Telehealth can make up
nurses benefit on the skills of using technology and modernize our healthcare system and more
convenient. This can also benefit in relaxing as well as this will decrease the busy nurses
physically. Talking about physically, during this Covid-19 seasons, nurses are also prone of this
infectious diseases and this telehealth significant importantly for the health of nurses. Even for
nurses who are not good in using computers, this is a good reason to learn and professionalize
of using technological gadgets.

When we talk about health, we can never miss about talking nurses as well as this, that
we called telehealth. Nurses are usually more helpful in talking and put a good connection with
clients than doctors since they are the one who always approach to the patients and put some
conversations and understand. Doctors are not enough when there is lots of patient. That’s why
it always comes with nurses everywhere in Health Care works. As we were talking about Covid-
19, this is a good method when Covid patients and issues for concern from the quarantine
facility, home quarantine. So that Nurses would not always need to go to the infectious patient
with a small reason.

Regarding to this topic and for my future career which I am still practicing and learning,
Telehealth will be one of the most important Health Care Method which I can for see it. Even
now, we are in the pandemic of Corona Virus which everyone cannot approach the doctors and
nurses with many of their concerns. A side that, we are now in the times of computers or
modern world, we cannot say that this will be one of nursing professionals with high paid
salary. Never the last, this is really safe for the nurses from getting infection from the patient.

Lastly, what I want to say is that I was talking only about the benefits of telehealth. What we
should know is that it is the best to have face to face communication and checkups with the
patients rather than virtual communication. I see that this health care method is only for
emergency, small reasons to go to hospitals, and from the people who are in remote area. And
talking about remote area, I have in mind that they will not be good in handling those gadgets
or will they have good enough signal?
