Digital Citizenship Contract
Ms. Stauch’s Class
Please read each of the facets to digital citizenship below. By signing this contract, you are agreeing to uphold the digital rules for our classroom to protect yourself and others.
1. Respect Yourself and Others. Show respect to yourself and to your
classmates by using kind and appropriate language when interacting digitally. Represent yourself in a positive manner through virtual names and accounts. 2. Protect Yourself and Others. Make sure that all information, pictures, and videos shared digitally will not result in harm to yourself or to others. Do not share your passwords with anyone or log-in to any other student’s account except your own. 3. Respect and Protect Digital Property. Take care of the laptop that you are given by keeping it safe and out of harm. Agree to take responsibility should damage be done to any of your digital property or anyone else’s digital property at your hand. 4. Respect Intellectual Property. Request permission to use resources that aren’t your own and give credit when it is due to others. Always research the accuracy of the information that you find online and rely on credible sources.
I agree to follow the expectations outlined in this contract and accept
responsibility should any of these tenants be broken.
By signing below, I acknowledge that I am a member of our digital community and
will contribute to that community in a positive and responsible manner.
