I. NAME OF THE COMPANY

- McDonald’s

II. LOCATION (Main Office and Warehouse)

- Chicago, Illinois, United States

III. BUSINESS SIZE

- According to McDowell, 2020 since the fast food chain is known as the
biggest – chain in the world, and it is founded by Ray Kroc that is also
the chairman of the chin that has been with us for almost 60 years. And
in a certain time it has evolved at the restaurant, every single thing
starting from the packaging to their product offerings has changed over
the past few years.
The small restaurant opened in year 1940, and has its minimal
menu that just includes Burgers, French fries, and different kinds of
beverages that authorize its brothers to center the quality. Amazed by
the organization of the chain, Kroc wanted in and became the first ever
agent to franchise the restaurant.
The first ever place of the Mcdonald’s franchise was built and opened
in Des Plaines, Illinois, year 1955 of April 15 th. And the first
international franchise location was placed in British Columbia in year
1967. The restaurant was not only worldwide, but it has also been
known as “the in demand” fast food chain and also the largest quick –
service chain in the world.
Based on Mcdonald’s website, its organization now utilizes now a total
number of 36,525 fast food chains worldwide.
Today, Mconald’s is the largest fast food chain in the world with greater
than 37,000 locations in more than 15 different countries. They
employs greater than 200,000 workers globally and has a market cap
of more than $150 billion.
IV. BUSINESS OWNERSHIP

- McDonald's is a franchise business. McDonald's is a big corporation

with over 30,000 outlets in over 100 countries that serve over 38 million
customers every day. Franchises are the fastest expanding type of
commerce, according to international comparisons, and McDonald's
has developed rapidly via giving franchises. It is also classified as PLC
business because a public limited company is a form of corporation
that can be held by anybody who can afford to acquire stock in the firm.
By selling their stock on the stock exchange, companies may raise
money from anybody who wants to invest in them.

V. DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPANY

- McDonald’s build on April 15,1955 in San Bernadino California. One of

the largest American fast-food chains around the world. This consist of
hamburgers, fires, drinks, and different types of menus it depends on
the culture of one place. For example, like in the Philippines we have
rice but in America they serve only burgers.

VI. PRODUCT OFFERINGS

- Its very own product mix as a food service business, is collected largely
of food and beverage items. This component of marketing mix finance
the several organization products including goods and services that the
organization gives to its target markets. As for McDonald’s the
following below is its main product offerings/lines:

1. Hamburgers and Sandwiches

2. Snacks and sides
3. Beverages
4. Chicken and fish
5. McCafe
6. Breakfast or All – Day Breakfast
7. Shakes and desserts

VII. STAKEHOLDERS

- McDonald's considers its customers, suppliers, and staff to be

the company's most important stakeholders. These stakeholders have
an impact on the restaurant's operations and can be affected by them.
McDonald's customers are its external stakeholders. Obviously, the
company's existence is dependent on each customer it serves. Every
day, it serves around 3.5 million users in the United Kingdom and over
69 million internationally. However, the company's consumer base in
the United States is dwindling. Its appeal to millennials, on the other
hand, isn't universal. McDonald's procures both food and non-food
items from a variety of vendors.

In the United States, for example, Lopez Foods provides USDA-

inspected beef to McDonald's. Similarly, Kenny Longaker, Frank
Martinez, and Keystone Foods provide a wide range of supplies to
keep the restaurant running well. McDonald's has a policy of preserving
trusting connections with its suppliers, which is worth emphasizing.
This trusting relationship is essential since raw material delays or poor
quality can have a negative impact on McDonald's. McDonald's is one
of the world's largest employers. In the United Kingdom, it employs
about 120,000 people. It employs 210,000 individuals worldwide
approximately. However, when franchise employees are added
together, the overall number of employees is significantly higher.
McDonald's operations revolve around its employees, and customer
happiness is primarily reliant on their friendly and competent service.

slaughterhouse, ranches raise animals, grow vegetables and other
important ingredients. These essential products are being transported
using a special vehicle that are equipped with temperature control
mechanisms in order to deliver the products in ideal conditions.

The company has focused in a three (3) sustainable supply chain:

1. Ethics
2. Environment
3. Economics

- McDonald Supply Chain: Ethics – McDonald’s communicate with its

supplier to ensure the safety and the health of all the people that they
work with, as well as the health and well-being of the animals in its
supply chain.

environmental effect of its supply chain and restaurants, including
greenhouse gas emissions an to reduce food and packaging waste.

- Economics in Supply Chain – The economics of the supply chain of

Mcdonald’s is concerned with ensuring the farmers and suppliers for
their long – term livelihoods.

McDonald’s supply chain success is to aim for a long – term plans

established by Ray Kroc, one of the fast – food giant’s pioneers. Kroc’s
method, which remains the core of McDonald’s operations today, is
focused on a straightforward win – win strategy for all partners involved in
McDonald’s supply chain management. McDonald’s is focused on
achieving mutual beneficial outcomes for its employees, franchisees, and
suppliers. In other words, when their company succeeds so does their
suppliers because McDonald’s also wants to succeed its suppliers Rather
than just exchanging value, Mcdonald’s and its suppliers collaborate to
generate value for each other, resulting in more beneficial and long – term
partners.
