Sweet spontaneous by Edward Cummings is a master piece of American literature. Justify?

"O sweet spontaneity" is a one-of-a-kind poem written by E.E. Cummings, an American

poet known for his technical inventiveness, notably in typography, which includes his frequent

usage of lower case characters where capitals would ordinarily be used. In this poem, which

differs from traditional versification, "Howness" is more important than "Whatness." This poem

has two important special graph logical features: the persistent use of non-capital letters (except

the initial letter "O" used as a word) and the usage of deep space between stanzas. Some poetry

lines have only one word, whereas others contain two words, and so on. Because of these traits,

it is classified as experimental poetry.

In the study of the poem "O sweet spontaneity," Cumming expresses his love for Mother

Earth as well as his contempt for humans. He says that, even though humanity conducts the

scientific study, pollutes the environment, and even attempts to destroy her, she reacts to the

abuses with the greatest power and gift of all, life. His lyrical and linguistic approaches help to

shape the pictures that Cummings wants the reader to mentally perceive and spiritually feel.

Cumming uses poetic literary qualities such as alliteration, assonance, and modifiers to paint a

harsh image of humanity while presenting his unique perspective on the globe.

O sweet spontaneous begins with alliteration and continues to utilize it throughout, and

he employs uses repetition in phonetic parallelism. This poem also emphasizes related to the

project lines, which, in true Cumming fashion, might fool the reader into believing they are

reading a whole notion. There is just one capital letter, one comma, and one period in the poem.

Nonetheless, the use of a misplaced comma or period highlights a precise and purposeful
thinking process, so generating a bigger and more complete unit of thought. He eventually

combines the ancient with the new to show, maybe, that Mother Earth endures.

The poem opens with the capital letter 'O,' which the sole capital letter is used

throughout. The poet expresses surprise when he exclaims, "O delightful spontaneity. He

strongly relies on pauses to give the readers time to ponder about it. Alliteration may be seen in

the words philosophers and pinched to express the cruelty of philosophers, religions, and

scientists to the planet, the poet employed verbs such as pinched, poked, probed, squeezing, and

buffeting. In their context, all of these verbs have negative connotations. The poem is printed in

an unusual style, experimenting with poetic stanzas. He expresses similar topics in novel ways

by deviating from the norm. The poet symbolized Religion and science. Science, he claims, has a

"naughty thumb," whereas faiths have "scraggy knees." He refers to human body parts while

discussing science and religion. He used the personification method.
