“Nothing to Fear”
God granted the human mind the ability to perceive a better
way of doing things, allowing people to come up with inventions today just as they were able to do 100 years ago. They realize that there must be a better way of doing things and then develop it. One of such inventions is the invention of technology. We live in an era where several manual tasks can be automated, many complex and critical processes can be carried out with ease and greater efficiency with the help of modern technology. Thanks to the application of technology, living has changed and it has changed for the better. Technology can be confusing and frustrating, but it can also facilitate communication, encourage curiosity and learning, aid in safety and security, provide assistance, and simply be fun. It's all in how you use it. Back then, when technology was invented, its sole purpose was to improve people's lives. Some of us who have seen a world without technology may be able to point out its disadvantages, but its advantages are equally commendable. Let's look at the bright side of technology. With the help of technology, we are not only connected with each other, but also with the impossible. In our early days when technology was still in its infancy, we all must have faced problems like finding the route and unable to contact someone in need of time. Today, we have online maps and directions to help us navigate when we get lost, as well as several ways of communicating with people whenever we want. It is possible for grandparents to keep tabs on their grandchildren via video chat services, such as Skype, regardless of how far they may be living from them. It is a privilege to have lived through both eras - with and without technology. The majority of those who have lived both the eras realize the importance of modern technology and understand its critical place in the development of an advanced, safe, and innovative society. With its advancement, we are assured of living a relaxed life in the future and witnessing many attainments in education, communication, and security. It's not easy to adjust to change. Technology isn't just for youth, instead it holds promise for all generations. Seniors citizens sometimes feel hesitant about using technology, but they can benefit greatly from it. The technological change is difficult for most of them to adapt to due to fear of using it improperly as they lack information about how to use it and make the most of it. Others believe it is unnecessary. The older generation prefer to age in place, in the comfort of their homes and communities. Technology can assist them in remaining independent, active, and healthy as it makes possible for them to overcome their social and emotional isolation. A wide variety of technology facilitates existing social activities with friends and enhances convenience for many aspects of daily life, including finding information. Additionally, humans have done their best to make technology useful and convenient to every age group by providing readily accessible features. The technology of today helps make health care more convenient. For instance, seniors can get audible reminders on their cell phones to take their pills. Furthermore, the newly launched mobile phones also provide convenience to the disabled, who can now enjoy the benefits of technology. Whether we like it or not, technology has the purpose of making our lives easier and solving a lot of mankind's problems. When technology advances and makes our lives even more convenient, we must emphasize just how largely it improves our lives.
Now coming to the contribution of technology to education,
I think it is similar to the contribution of colours to an artwork. Colours enhance and improve artwork and bring it to life. In the same way, technology enhances and improves learning theories and techniques. Or, to put it differently, I strongly believe that technology is not only contributing to education, but has transformed it completely.Nowadays, there are plenty of forms of technology we rely upon and find extremely convenient. For example: Digital readers and tablets Artificial intelligence Mobile technology Smart classes , and a lot more
Also, the importance of technology in schools cannot be
ignored. In fact, with the onset of computers in education, it has become easier for teachers to impart knowledge and for students to acquire it. The use of technology has made the process of teaching and learning all the more enjoyable. And today, schools and colleges are running with the new tag of ‘online classes’, which is the best example of contribution of technology. This technology made it possible for me to continue my education during the pandemic the past two years. I was dependent on it in all ways.It has certainly changed the way we live. As we know that people nowadays, mainly students, are no longer able to perform basic tasks without its help. The contribution of technology has gone out of control. Most of our adults really fear what will happen to their children in the future! Because nowadays even a newly born child gets used to a mobile phone. On the other hand, there are several educational and learning applications that I do not believe it harms if our children make the most of technology in order to learn something that will benefit them. It is therefore in safe hands and there is nothing to fear in this scenario. Undoubtedly, technology plays an important role in every sphere of our life. Thus, neglecting to utilize the latest technology would waste a valuable resource. In the end, let's ask ourselves, "What if this technology wasn't around anymore?” In an absence of technology, life would be very stressful, and we would face many problems we do not face today. Having no social media, no devices, and many other things that are changing how we live could be beneficial to us, but it wouldn't be better to not have technology at all today.
