(1) After Zn-plating, the washers shall be immediately subjected to hydrogen-removing
treatment;
(2) The hardness of heat treatment is a reference for production process.
3.2 Performances,
3.2.1 Elasticity
3.2.1.1 The washers in standard type, light type and heavy type shall be conducted elasticity
tests according to Term 4.1. Their free heights shall not be less than 1.67Spomina
3.2.1.2 The washers in wave type and saddle type shall be conducted elasticity test according
to Term 4.1. Their free heights shall not be less than those specified in Table 2.

3.2.1.3 The elasticity of washers made of stainless steel and copper shall be decided by both
of supplier and buyer via negotiation.
3.2.2. Tenacity: The tenacity test of the washers shall be conducted according to Term 4.2.
Steel washer shall not break when it is twisted to 90°, and stainless steel washers and
copper washer shall not break if it is twisted to 45°, When they are twisted to break,
their section surfaces shall be smooth,
3.2.3. Anti-hydrogen brittleness: Zn-plated washers shall be tested according to Term 4.3
and shall not break after testing,
3.3 Surface defects: Any cracks, rusts and nicks, scratches and burrs that will influence
application are not allowed.
3.4 Round angle: Radiuses of internal and external round angles on washer’s section shall not
be larger than Syomina/4.
3.5 Knurling: Rolled knurling on external surface of the washer is permitted.
4, Test method
4.1 Elasticity test: After adding test loads specified in Table 3 onto the washer for continuous

4.2 Tenacity test: Clamp washer between bench vice and wrench, and keep a distance of 1/2
external washer’s diameter between bench vice and wrench (as shown in Figure), then
slowly turn the wrench clockwise to 90° (or 45°) and observe the washer’s surface,
continuously turn unti

4.3 Anti-hydrogen brittleness test: Insert washers into a test bar with separating flat liners
between washers, press them to reach the test load specified in Table 3 for 48 hours. Then
loose them and observe the washer’s surface,
4.4 Hardness test shall be conducted according to GB 230 or GB 231.
5. Inspection, label and package for receipt of washer shall be conducted according to GB
90.
6. Additional technical specifications excluding mentioned above should be negotiated by
supplier and user.
