The hopper of a dump truck is to be operated by using a single acting cylinder shown in
Figure 1. The cylinder will to retract position due to the weight of the hopper. Draw a basic
hydraulic circuit and label each of the components. [10 marks]

A drilling machine shown in Figure 2 is operated using a double -acting cylinder. During
the extend position, the cylinder moves slowly and is controlled using a one -way flow
control valve. But, during the retract position, the speed of the cylinder is not controlled.
Draw a hydraulic circuit based on the problem stated. [20 marks]

Semasa pergerakan keluar silinder, silinder bergerak perlahan dan dikawal menggunakan
injap kawalan aliran satu arah. Tetapi, semasa pergerakan masuk, kelajuan silinder tidak

An overhead crane shown in Figure 3 is to be used at Lumut port, Perak. The crane operates
