Configuring Sangoma Vega 100

Gateway for Spitfire SIP Trunks

This document is a guideline for configuring Spitfire SIP trunks onto Sangoma Gateway and
includes the settings required for Inbound DDI routing and Outbound CLI presentation. The
settings contained within have been tested and are known to work at the time of testing.

SIP trunk details such as account number and password will be provided separately.

This guide assumes that you have read the documentation provided by Sangoma and have logged
into the device. It also assumes that you have an operational TDM PBX behind the gateway –
please not that some of the instructions in this guide may need to be adapted dependant on the
TDM PBX you are using.

Provisioning of a SIP Trunk


Quick Config>Basic Config

• Country : UK
• IP Address: Can be determined by the user
• Subnet Mask: Can be determined by the user
• Gateway: Can be determined by the user
• Preferred DNS Server: 217.13.128.17
• Alternate DNS Server: 83.218.143.36
• NTP Time Server: 83.218.143.36
• Voice Codec 1: g711Alaw64k
• Voice Codec 2: g711Ulaw64k
• New Password: (Provided by Spitfire)
• Now click Submit
Quick Config>VoIP

• Proxy domain name: spitfiretsp.net


• Proxy address: 83.218.143.16
• Registrar address: 83.218.143.16
• Outbound proxy address: 83.218.143.16
• Registration Mode: Gateway
• Registration and Authentication ID: 442891377985 (Provided by Spitfire)
• Authentication Password: (Provided by Spitfire)
• Now click Submit

Call Routing
Connect to the Vega 100 using an SSH client such as putty

• Login as: admin


• Password: (Provided by Spitfire)
• Enter the following commands as shown below

admin > set _advanced.sip.tel_srce = to_header


admin > apply
admin > set _advanced.sip.privacy.standard=rpid
admin > apply
admin > save

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT AS THIS ALLOWS THE VEGA TO ROUTE TO DDIs ON INCOMING CALLS
AND TO PRESENT THE CORRECT CLI WHEN DIALLING OUT
Outbound Routing – Reference Only
Quick Config>E1/T1

• Telephone number list: .*


This dial plan will send anything sent from the TDM PBX out of the SIP trunk – you may need
to adapt this depending on your configuration
• Check the NT? Box next to the interface you will be connecting to the SIP trunk

Inbound Routing – Reference Only


Expert Config>Dial Plan>Profiles

• Rename the plan To_E1T1 to To_TDMPBX


• Click Modify next to the plan To_TDMPBX

Expert Config>Dial Plan>Plans In This Profile

THIS EXAMPLE SENDS 6 DIGITS TO THE PBX BUT YOU MAY NEED TO MODIFY THIS DEPENDANT ON
YOUR CONFIGURATION
