Start By:

a. Remove the transmission hydraulic control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission Hydraulic Control Valve - Remove".

1. Remove harness assembly (1).

2. Remove bolts (2). Remove valve assemblies (3).

3. Remove nut (6) , washers (5) and coil assembly (4).

4. Repeat Step 2 and Step 3 for the other valve assemblies.

Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.

Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended


tooling to release the spring force.

5. Remove cartridge assembly (9), spool (8), and spring (7).

6. Repeat Step 5 for the other valve assemblies.

7. Remove O-ring seals (10) from cartridge assembly (9).

8. Repeat Step 7 for the other valve assemblies.

9. Remove fitting (11). Remove O-ring seal (12).

10. Repeat Step 9 for the other fittings.

11. Remove bolts (15) and cover (14).

12. Remove bolts (13) and eyebolt (17) from plate (16).

13. Measure the height of bolt (19) from a flat surface. This will be Dimension (X). Make a note of the measurement. Loosen nut (18) and remove
bolt (19).

14. Remove plug (20).

15. Remove O-ring seal (21) from plug (20).

16. Remove spool assembly (23) from the valve.

17. Remove slug (22), spool assembly (23), spring (24), and stop (25) from the valve.

18. Use Tooling (A) in order to remove retaining ring (26). Remove retainer (27). Remove spring (28) and ball (29) from spool assembly (23).
