Blender 3D Tutorial

This book teaches Blender 3D modeling and animation from beginner to advanced levels through a series of tutorials. It is divided into 4 units that progressively introduce more complex techniques: 1) Background on 3D graphics and Blender's interface, 2) Basic modeling and shading, 3) Alternative techniques like lighting and animation, 4) Advanced techniques like scripting. Each unit contains sections made up of modular tutorials, with the early tutorials forming a foundation for later ones. Additional materials provide references, advice, and miscellaneous tutorials. The goal is for readers to learn by following the tutorials hands-on in Blender.

2 Overview
The core of this book is a series of tutorials that increase
in complexity, with later tutorials building on the preced-
ing ones. While experienced users can skip ahead, begin-
ners are urged to proceed through the tutorials in sequence.
The tutorials in the core series are grouped into four
units:

1. Background — a basic orientation regarding:

• computer graphics
• the Blender user interface (UI)

2. Basic Modeling and Shading — basic techniques for

building and rendering 3D models

3. Broadening Horizons
