2.1.1 Room Dimensions

Note!
Vision C room requirements apply to Vision C /Auto.

Note!

 Vision C has two different height requirements depending on the OTC elevating
column stroke, 1800mm or 1500mm.

Note!

 Ceiling height must be checked before Vision C system is ordered and column stroke
configuration defined when the system is ordered.

Figure 2.1.9: Vision OTC dimensions in mm

Warning!
It is possible to mount Vision C systems in rooms with lower than specified ceiling
height, however this will affect achievable SID on the table, maximum beam height
from the floor as well as the range of elevation on the overhead tube stand.

Minimum Table SID for a given room height H is calculated according to the type of table and column height
specifying minimum quantity A on Figure above. For 6 way table:

Maximum OTC SID for 6-way table = H – min A – 455 mm

e.g. for 1800 stroke, min A = 1030 mm in

room height 2.9m (H = 2900mm),
 Min table SID is 2900-1030-455 = 1415 mm.

For 4 way table the calculation is:

Maximum OTC SID for 6-way table = H – min A – 690 mm

2.1.2 Ceiling Mounting

Ceiling support structure normally consists of steel rails.
Vision ceiling mounted tube stand is mounted to the ceiling structure using mounting blocks (shipped
with the system) mounted on the longitudinal rails. The number of mounting blocks varies depending
on the number of support points used, see next section, but should be no fewer than 4.
Mounting blocks should be evenly spaced along the longitudinal rail no further than 1200mm apart.
An example of support blocks mounting on standard length 4000mm longitudinal rails is at 200mm,
1400mm, 2600mm and 3800mm from longitudinal rail end.
The mounting blocks are mounted using two M10 (or 3/8’’) bolts for each block, see Figure. 12
mounting blocks are included in Vision TCS shipment.

3 Mounting onto slotted cross-rails
Vision C longitudinal rails can be mounted onto transversally positioned slotted rails, such
as Hilti MQ-52 or equivalent/stronger, as shown in the Figure below.

4 Figure 2.1.14: Mounting using slotted cross rails

The cross rails can themselves be mounted into supporting steel beams or structure with
equivalent weight bearing capacity, see example on Figure below.

5 Figure 2.1.15: Example mounting of transversal slotted rails

Figure below shows the longitudinal arrangement of transversal slotted rails for this
mounting.

Warning!
Example ceiling mounting structure provided below is just a suggestion and local
conditions such as strength of ceiling and existence of steel beams should be taken
into account when dimensioning Vision OTC support structures.

3. Room Specifications

Note!

 Requirements specified in this section do not apply for regions at risk of

earthquakes. For more information and specifications regarding risk assessments
and calculations, please contact the manufacturer.

Minimal values for a and h:

a = 10 cm

h = 6 cm

If there are cross-overs, it may be necessary to

provide greater channel depth.

Figure: Recommended dimensions for

cable channel

In order to prevent static discharge in medical areas, the use of antistatic floor surface materials is
highly recommended. The anti-static surface must be grounded in at least two places in each room
it covers. The conductivity of the newly built floor must not exceed 10MΩ, and for floors that are
more than 4 years old, 100MΩ.

3.3 Wall Specifications

The walls to which Vision system components are mounted (wall stand, electrical panel, universal U-
arm stand and Matrix structures) must withstand pull forces of 1000N on anchor screws used to fix
the system.

3.4 Room Environmental Conditions

Environmental conditions are the same for all Vision systems and defined in the table below.

4. Power Ratings and Line Requirements

Note!

 Ensure that the earth ground resistance of the installation (hospital/clinic) is lower
than 10Ω.

Warning!
TO AVOID THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, THIS EQUIPMENT MUST ONLY BE
CONNECTED TO A SUPPLY MAINS WITH PROTECTIVE EARTH.

To connect Vision systems to the mains board use 5x35mm2 (3 phase + neutral + ground) cables.

External disconnect device shall have a key. This device shall be according to IEC 61058. Fuse
in Appliance inlet on tray above the generator has value T10 A H 250 V.

Warning!
There is a risk of fire and electric shock if fuse is replaced by incorrect value. There
is a risk of fire and electric shock if supply cable is replaced by a wrong type.

In the control room, under Protective glass electrical installation should provide 5 earthed wall
sockets for: connection of the imaging system, provide an Ethernet network port for connecting
system acquisition station with diagnostic workstation, PACS archive in the doctor’s room, and
Internet for remote support by the Deneb service department.
