It is a well-organized strategy anchored on real life situation that include learner’s
interests and needs creating a variety of meaningful activities and learning experiences.
It paves the way in connecting what is learned in school to real life world rather than
isolated facts and information.
2. Is an interdisciplinary strategy, an integrated approach?
Yes, teachers organize the curriculum around common learning’s across disciplines. They
chunk together the common learning’s embedded in the disciplines to emphasize
interdisciplinary skills and concepts. The disciplines are identifiable, but they assume less
importance than in the multidisciplinary approach.
3. What are 3 ways of applying an integrated teaching strategy?
The three-level strategy are Values, Concepts and Facts
Values Level – The knowledge acquired are related to the student’s life
Concepts Level – The facts a reviewed and organized into concepts (relationship of facts)
Facts Level – The students learn isolated facts
4. Explain what it means to teach in 3 levels using the three-level strategy.
Because it relates in real life world that people applied in their everyday lives, like when
they read some educational book they can learn from that book and they can share it in
other people.
