Replenishment of Fixed Bins

The document discusses configuring transfer orders in SAP to only create replenishment transfer orders from a specific storage type, Storage Type BBB. Currently, transfer orders are being created from other storage types as well. The assistant provides guidance on how to configure the stringent FIFO storage type search and WMS movement type search sequence to restrict replenishment transfer orders to only the source storage type BBB.

Replenishment of Fixed Bins

Migrating to SAP warehouse. Single warehouse, four main storage types plus interims
e.g. 902, 916 etc. Several bin types. No Storage Unit Management.

I have a Storage Type AAA containing Fixed Bins for picking.

I have a Storage Type BBB which is bulk / open storage.

I am running LP22 to create Transfer Requirements to replenish AAA

I am then running RLAUTA10 to create the Transfer Orders

I want to configure so that the Transfer Orders are only created with BBB as the
source.

At present it has created Transfer Orders for other storage types including 916.

I understand that I need to configure the storage type search but I am unclear how to
do it for the replenishment movement type only (MT 320).

First off, are you using stringent FIFO? That is *** in your removal search type.

If you are, is the issue that there are storage types from which you do not want to pick
(e.g. 916)?

If yes you can set those storage types to be excluded in the stringent FIFO search with
OMM8 (Strategies -> Stock Removal Strategies -> Define Strategy for "Stringent
FIFO")

For WMS movement types:

1. Set the Reference Storage Type Search code (in our case an example is 088 320 1
Replen. for Fixed bins).

2. Then in the Search Sequence, create a new search sequence without the storage
type included, but put the above code in the Ref.Stor.Type. Search column.

Example with code 1

088 A 88R 0 1 031 030 032 037 033

Same search strategy without the code 1

088 A 88R 0 0 020 031 030 032 037 ***

Notes:

The 2nd configuration (WMS movement types) is OMLY (Strategies -> Activate
Storage Type Search)
