Quality Assurance Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for managing company regulatory compliance related to the


following programs, acting as unit client interface with external customers
and certificating authorities (FAA, etc.): technical publications and company
authored regulatory manuals; continuing analysis and surveillance system
(CASS).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops the Continuous Analysis and Surveillance Program (CASS),


defining and writing program policy and procedure.
Communicates directly with customer Quality Managers regarding the
quality of the unitʼs service deliverables.
Develops quality programs consistent with the requirements of
certificating authorities, certificating organizations (CASE), and
customers.
Manages through subordinates the quality auditing and reporting
program, to include customer audits, certificating authority audits, and
internal audits. Directs the management of all aspects of the corrective
action process, and includes the evaluation of the effectiveness of
corrective actions.
Directs through subordinates the standards and procedures to qualify
new repair and supplier vendors, and maintains vendor listing.
Participates as an Air Safety Representative, interfacing with corporate
groups on issues and activities concerning air safety.
Manages through subordinates the acquisition of all technical manuals,
Airworthiness Directives, and other required technical data necessary
for the unitʼs production services.
Manages through peers the collection of data pertinent to performance
of compliance.
Manages through subordinates authoring of company regulatory
manuals, and establishes standards for authoring of procedures
relevant to areas of operations

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education:

Bachelorʼs Degree in aviation sciences or engineering, preferred.

Experience:

At least 4 years aviation maintenance mechanic, with 2 years


supervisory experience
At least 4 years aerospace quality control inspector, with 1 year
supervisory experience
At least 2 years aviation quality auditor
At least 1 year general office experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Quality Auditor Certification


FAA airframe & power plant mechanic
FAA private pilot certificate
Problem-Solving (RCCA, FEMA & A3 Methodology)
Aviation accident investigation, suggesting improvements.

Working Conditions / Environment/ Special Requirements

Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory


requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required.
Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing
under FAA regulations.
