INTRODUCTION

1.0 Introduction of Mauritius


Mauritius is an island nation located off the southeast coast of the African continent in the Indian
ocean. It is an island with lagoons and beautiful palms-fringed beaches with coral reefs
surrounding most of the coast line.

Mauritius has two UNESCO World Heritage Sites which is Le Morne Cultural Landscape and
Aapravasi Ghat, carve in 2008 and 2006 repectively .

At first, both sites appear to be very dissimilar _ one is natural landscape and the other a man-
made construction but both are important for their related historic of symbolic value and for how
they bestow to our contemporary understanding of slavery and indentured labour .

1.0 Introduction of Domaine De l’Etoile.


Domaine de l’Etoile, the nature preserve in Mauritius, located in the east of Mauritius at
Sebastopol. Domaine de l’Etoile carry on one of the most conserve regions of the country. The
Domaine include English gardens, rivers, in addition, indigenous woods which are plentiful
which are rich in hundreds of separate variation of plants and trees, counting the most former
ebony trees of the country and supplementary endemic species, also cinnamon trees, vertivers,
orchids, traveler's trees, banana trees and so on. Domaine de L'Etoile have a large river flows,
drizzling streams and flowing waterfalls.

1.1 Introduction of Team Work.

Teamwork is the collaborative effort of team members to achieve a common goal or to complete
a task in the most effective and efficient way. This concept is seen with the eminent framework
of a team, which is a group of interdependent individuals who work together towards achieving a
common goal. Moreover, in a teamwork, the work is splitted among team members therefore it is
less time consuming and helps to prevent dissatisfaction.

1.2 Importance of Team work

Team work in the Tourism Sector has substantial significance because it brings a sense of safety
and security, trust, confidence, and loyalty among employees as well as the employers. Without
teamwork, moral can be reduced, then productivity could be lowered too. With teamwork,
productivity can be increased as more ideas and creativity can be generated. In addition, with
teamwork, the groups of Nature ventures can amalgamate knowledge and skills, also, we can
make the best use of individual strength.

1.3 The Team

The Team Consist of six members

 Curum Udmillah - The Team leader


 Richy Chankan - The Financial representative
 Lucie Muthoo – The Administrative representative
 Jokoo Nawsheen- The Health and Safety representative and Logistics

Peerboccus Aaliyah – The Marketing representative and Food & Beverage representative

1.4 Team roles / Human resources

 Udmillah Curum, the team leader of ‘Nature Venture’ is respomsible to organise


meeting between her team members, take notes and account of paramount things that is
basic. In addition, she has the responsibility of solving any issues that arouse in the team
by providing advice and solutions to it. As a team leader, Curum should take the
leadership for planning, executing as well as stimulating the activities that the project
undertakes. Also, she should make sure that each team member contributes respectively
and equally in terms of hardwork, resources in the team in order to be successful.

 Richy Chankan, the fiancial representative of ‘Naturre Ventures’ who is in charge of


handling the financial security of the team. Also, he has the management to collect
money from each and every individuals of the groups including our clients too. He also
needs to ensure that everyone make their payments on the time due to avoid any
inconvinience and afterwards.

 Lucie Muthoo, she is the administrative representative of ‘Nature Ventures’ and is


responsible to write a pursuasive letter to the director of City College, Mr Soobadar, for
him to grant us the permission for our outing at Domaine De l’Etoile. She is reponsible to
deliver the message before any deadline so that we can proceed with our further
arrangement concerning our journey.

 Jokoo Nawsheen, she is the health and safety representative of our team and she is
responsible to bring her first aid kit and other equipments concerning the safety of our
customers and our team members. Thus, in case of any injuries, she must act immediately
in order to provide the injured one with an instant sooth and relief and avoiding them to
suffer and stress. Moreover, She is also in charge of arranging transport for the whole
journey to Domaine De l’Etoile. And she need to make sure that the coach is
commodious to accommade all of us.

 Peerboccus Aaliyah, I am the marketing representative of the team ‘Nature Ventures. I


take the duty to promote our event to Domaine De l’Etoile either by using the social
media which is a rapid and effective way of communicating with my team and cutomers,
or by means which is relatively easy for me. I am in charge of organizing our packages to
make it attractive and eye-catching to our customers’ eyes and attract them towards our
event.

Furthermore, I am the food and beverages representative of ‘Nature Ventures’. I am in


charge of making the specific requirements of the F&B needs of my team members and
customers. I should also take care of the special dietary needs or requirements in order to
avoid customer dissatisfaction. Also, I take the responsibility to plan the menus according
our budgets and tastes.
