RECOMMENDATIONS:

1. Begin each round with a magic ring, working in a spiral placing marker
to keep track of each round.

2. Crochet tightly, if you find your stitches are loose try a smaller hook
size.

3. Stuff your toy with the poly fill as you go using the stick, making sure
you stuff firmly. This will assure your toy keeps it shape.

4. If your toy is for a baby or child under 3, use safety eyes or embroider
the eyes. Do not add small decorations such as buttons etc if for a small
child.

FIRST LEG

Using grey-brown yarn, hook 1,6 mm

Rd 1: 4 sc in magic ring

Rd 2: 4 sc (4 sts)

Rd 3: [sc, 2sc inc]*2 (6 sts)

Rd 4: 6 sc (6 sts)

Rd 5: [2 sc, 2sc inc]*2 (8 sts)

FO last stitch and cut yarn.

SECOND LEG

Continue crocheting with beige yarn following first leg instructions. Repeat
rounds 1-5 but do not fasten off.

CONNECTING LEGS

Rd 6 is crocheting across both

legs with 10 chain stitch
between, so that in total you will
have 36 stitches.

Rd 6 begins from 2nd leg.

Crochet 4 sc around the 2nd leg.
Then crochet a chain of 10 ch
(= ch10-chain).

4
Still holding the last chain stitch of
the ch10-chain on your hook, take
the 1st leg and crochet 8 sc around
1st leg.

Then 10 sc along the ch10-chain

and 4 sc around the remaining
stitches of the 2nd leg.

Rd 6: 4 sc, 10 ch, 8 sc, 10 sc, 4 sc (36 sts)

You will now begin the increase rounds. These increases will be in 4
places-the places of connecting legs and tummy.

Rd 7: 4sc, 2sc inc, 8sc, 2sc inc, 8sc, 2sc inc, 8sc, 2sc inc,

4 sc (40 sts)

Rds 8-13: 6 rounds sc (40 sts)

Now you need to stuff the legs. Use a thin wooden stick.

Rds 14-25: 12 rounds sc (40 sts)

RECOMMENDATION:

After several rounds of increases the beginning of the rounds start to

displace. Before starting decreases, place the beginning of the round
forward. To do this crochet 2 extra sc in the Rd 19, fold your body in half,
placing the 2 extra sc on the side.

5
Rd 26: sc2tog,18sc *2 (38 sts)

Rds 27-29 (3 rounds): sc 38 (38 sts)

Rd 30: sc2tog,17sc*2 (36 sts)

Rds 31-32 (2 rounds): sc 36 (36 sts)

From this place you can start stuffing with the filling.

Rd 33: sc2tog,16 sc *2 (34 sts)

Rds 34-35 (2 rounds): sc 34 (34 sts)

Rd 36: sc2tog,15 sc *2 (32 sts)

Rd 37: 32 sc (32 sts)

Add the stuffing and make sure that the detail is stuffed very firmly and
keeps the form.

Rd 38: sc2tog *16 (16 sts)

Rd 39:16 sc (16 sts)

Stuff the detail for the last time, taking care to fill around the opening to
keep the body rounded. It shouldn’t be flattened. Close the opening after
the final round.

Rd 40: sc2tog *8 (8 sts)

FO last stitch and cut yarn.

6

(turn the wing and crochet the
other side of the chain), 2 hdc, 5

eyes for little babies.
