1. What is your definition of art? Art Appreciation?

Subjectively, Art is an expression that the artist tends to display in their artwork. It is
an interpretation of the artist's feelings, beliefs, and characteristics. It is the
communication of intimate ideas that can't be reliably delineated by words alone, and
since words don't seem to be enough, artists find another thing that creatively
expressing. On the other hand, art appreciation from the word itself is appreciating the
art, while art is the expresser, the art appreciation is the audience, the listener it is the
practice of interpreting, understanding, and evaluating any form of arts.

2. How can art be an aid to better citizenship? Give examples to illustrate this.

Artworks that express patriotism, nationalism, equality, justice, truth, and unity
are often an aid to raised citizenship. Arts that display one in all these stimulate
awareness and knowledge to the people. One in all the foremost famous artworks made
by Fernando Amorsolo is "The making of the Philippine Flag". It is thought that Fernando
Amorsolo made this portrait to tell the citizen of the Philippines the way the Philippine
flag was made and to remind them of the traditions and customs that we did not now
recognize to require care and supply significance, the ensign which it symbolizes as a
white triangle stands for equality and fraternity; the blue subject for peace, reality, and

thinking to understand the world around. It allows open up the mindset of the people,
through paying attention to distinctive attitudes and perspectives in addition to
interpretations of the art, it encourages considerate verbal exchange and the expertise
that there are multiple techniques to everything.
 4. Why are music, painting, and sculpture called fine arts?

Fine art is a form of art that deals in aesthetic values, it allows the full expression
and presentation of the artist's creativity and imagination, unrestrictedly, and these
characteristics were seen in sculpture, painting, poetry and music.

5. In what ways does art contribute to the physical, social, and spiritual well-being of man?

Arts is about expressing, The arts can ease, move, and inspire us. Art facilitates
us to relax by making art or maybe seeing a masterpiece of artwork and admiring them,
consequently decreasing stress-related physical body pains.

Socially, art helps us to communicate Our social well-being is helped by artwork thru its
nature of communication, like for example the song of Maroon 5 "Lost stars" that
tackles the person who is lost and doesn't know his real purpose in life. The person or
both of them are in trouble yet they want to love each other purely & just go along with
it without thinking of the consequences. The song is very relatable to the people, we felt
the connection of the emotion of the song to the emotion of the people because of how
we understand the lyrics that the song express.

For spiritual well-being, artwork allows us explicit our love for faith thru all of the unique
varieties of artwork. For example, we've artwork just like the very well-known portray of
Jesus Christ, which helped Catholics/Christians be greater linked with the religious
world, as they're immersed in the picture of Christ.

6. What are the functions of art in the context of enhancing your personality?
Creating artwork develops self-esteem. Arts gives you the ability to express
what's on your mind and feelings. Your artworks will resonate with people's emotions. It
offers you an experience of delight approximately your talents and brings out the
excellence in you. While seeing or listening to arts helps us to enhance our critical
thinking and relates to the artist.

The video of Alina Murdock called Art is a Universal Language, which was posted on
Youtube shows that art is a universal language which means that art is not about verbal
language and different barriers. Artworks may be explain depending on how people see them.
The artwork has no language boundaries and can talk to anyone irrespective of what language
they speak. Artists use their paintings to bring messages and meaning. One of the purposes of
art is to see aesthetics visually. It is the effect among the public – the conveyance of an idea
among the artist and the perceiver. Beautiful artwork is a hit in portraying the artist’s maximum
profound meant emotions, the preferred concepts. Aesthetic perception plays a huge role in
the introduction of art.

Moreover, art is inspiring because it could offer us creative hyperlinks of components of

ourselves which may be unavailable in other cases. Artworks bring out the creative and
innovative thinking of the people. Arts also help us see things differently, looking at an artwork
presents a possibility to workout essential thinking, enjoy a renewed self-awareness, and

Art makes us feel. Whenever we see the artwork, we feel the emotions of the artist,

It let us experience new things and concepts that we may never have known about before. It
also allows us to equate with the work of art and feel inspired by it.
