INDICATIONS
EURICAN DA2PPi2:The vaccination of healthy dogs against canine distemper (CD), infectious canine
hepatitis (ICH) caused by canine adenovirus type 1 (CAV-1), respiratory disease caused by canine
adenovirus type 2 (CAV-2), canine parvovirus (P) and parainfluenza type 2 (Pi2) infections.
EURICAN L: The vaccination of healthy dogs against Leptospira canicola and Leptospira
icterohaemorrhagiae infections.
EURICAN LR: The vaccination of healthy dogs against rabies, Leptospira canicola and Leptospira
icterohaemorrhagiae infections.
The above Eurican range of vaccines can safely be given to susceptible puppies and pregnant bitches.

COMPOSITION
Eurican DA2PPi2 contains live freeze-dried Canine distemper, Canine adenovirus type 2, Canine
parvovirus and parainfluenza type 2 virus.
Eurican L contains inactivated Leptospira canicola and Leptospira icterohaemorrhagiae antigens as
diluent for reconstitution. Preservative is merthiolate <0,1 mg/mℓ
Eurican LR (liquid component) contains inactivated Leptospira canicola and Leptospira
icterohaemorrhagiae antigens and inactivated fixed rabies virus together with adjuvant aluminium
hydroxide, is supplied as diluent. Preservative is merthiolate <0.1 mg/mℓ.

WARNINGS
• Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals.
• Vaccinate only healthy animals.
• Although this vaccine has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions, failure thereof
may ensue as a result of a wide range of reasons. If this is suspected notify the registration holder.

PRECAUTIONS
• Take the usual aseptic precautions.
• Some animals may fail to develop or maintain immunity due to relative immunological
incompetence.
SIDE EFFECTS
All vaccines may occasionally cause anaphylactic reactions in some dogs; if this occurs adrenaline or
equivalent should be administered.
The presence of aluminium hydroxide in the Eurican LR component may occasionally cause the
appearance of a small transitory nodule at the point of injection.

DOSAGE AND DIRECTIONS FOR USE


Aseptically reconstitute the freeze dried viral components with the liquid fraction.
Shake well before use.
DOSE: 1 mℓ by subcutaneous or intramuscular injection.
Primary vaccination:
• A single injection of the distemper / infectious hepatitis / parvovirus / parainfluenza component
(Eurican DA2PPi2) is sufficient to induce immunity in seronegative animals. However, due to
the presence of interfering maternal antibodies it is recommended that at least 2 injections of
these valencies be given.
• The second should be administered after 12 weeks of age
• Two injections, 2 - 4 weeks apart, are necessary to induce immunity to the leptospira antigens.
• For rabies, a single injection is given after 12 weeks of age
The following general vaccination schedule is recommended:
6-8 weeks Eurican DA2PPi2 + L
12 weeks Eurican DA2PPi2 + LR
Annual Eurican DA2PPi2 + LR

The following vaccination schedule is recommended to provide protection against the most important
canine diseases.
4-5 weeks Primodog
6-8 weeks Eurican DA2PPi2 + L
12 weeks Eurican DA2PPi2 + LR
Annual Eurican DA2PPi2 + LR

STORAGE
Store at between +2 ºC to +8 ºC in a refrigerator. Do not freeze. Protect from light.

PRESENTATION
EURICAN DA2PPi2: Each pack contains 10 vials of Eurican DA²PPi² and 10 vials of Diluent.
EURICAN DA²PPi² + L: Each pack contains 10 vials of Eurican DA²PPi² and 10 vials of Eurican L.
EURICAN DA²PPi² + LR: Each pack contains 10 vials of Eurican DA²PPi² and 10 vials of Eurican LR.
