*It is now evident that it has become the norm for children and teenagers to be abused. As a
student going to a prominent high school, I have heard my fellow school mates talk about being
scolded by parents, for the touching of hands on the child which have become a popular topic to
speak about.
I found this topic to be very interesting mainly because children in my surroundings are being
abused by parents, relatives and even strangers, which should not be happening.

The researcher has observed that sexual abuse in the community has been happening for the past
2 years where children and young people are being to have sexual relationships where
intercourse and fondling is concerned.

In the community a lot of children has a social relationship with one another. They frequently

the respondents have been living there for 12-16 years. Figure four shows that 50% of the

child open to you without a fear of been unwanted or judged.
