Jurisdiction in Civil Cases SC CA RTC Family Courts Mtc/Mutc/Mctc Original

The Supreme Court has original and exclusive jurisdiction over certain civil cases involving constitutional issues and petitions for certiorari against appellate courts and tribunals. The Court of Appeals has appellate jurisdiction over civil cases decided by Regional Trial Courts, except those involving constitutional questions which are appealable to the Supreme Court. Regional Trial Courts have original jurisdiction over civil cases not within the exclusive jurisdiction of other courts or tribunals, including cases involving title to real property above 20,000 pesos and maritime cases over 100,000 pesos. Metropolitan Trial Courts, Municipal Trial Courts, and Municipal Trial Courts in Cities have jurisdiction over lower-value civil cases involving money claims, personal property, small land disputes, and other limited matters.
