Hydrostatic Testing of Fabricated Piping: 1. Scope

This document provides standards for hydrostatic testing of fabricated piping. It outlines procedures for preparing piping assemblies for testing, conducting tests, required test pressures, use of pressure gauges, acceptance standards, and documentation of test results. Assemblies must be tested at 1.5 times the design pressure or as specified, holding the pressure for at least 10 minutes. Any leaks observed require repair and retesting. Records of all tests should document date, assembly tested, test medium, pressure and time, and inspector signatures.
