Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

Under the direction of a supervisor and/or experienced machinist,


responsible for quality parts produced on CNC machines such as,
but not limited, to lathes and milling machines in a timely, safe,
and efficient manner.

Operate, perform set-up changes and first article inspections


on production runs utilizing CNC Machines.
Load parts utilizing overhead lifting equipment, proving tapes,
operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, deburring, and
inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.
Identify problems before production runs, then start and
observe machine operation to detect any other malfunctions or
out-of-tolerance conditions and adjust machine controls or
control media as required.
Read blueprints, precision measuring instruments and job
orders to determine dimensions, tolerance, and tooling
requirements.
Maintain knowledge of dimensions and tolerances for tooling
instructions such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth
of cut and cutting tools to be used.
Prove out new programs and make simple edits of CNC

machines.
Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform
basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
Comply with all ARM Company and HSE policies and
procedures.
Insure the proper utilization of equipment and material.
Make set-ups and operate equipment insuring adherence to
procedures/standards while advancing ARM's quality policy.
Maintain accurate dimensional tolerances based upon
drawings.
Insure paperwork is accurate and reflects the latest revision.
Use measuring tools and gauges to insure quality of product.
Report unsafe conditions, broken or malfunctioning equipment,
accidents, and inquiries to supervisor.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Minimum 10 years of experience as CNC Machine operator.


Understanding of fabrication drawings, engineering nesting’s
for milling, grinding, and lifting.
Technical knowledge of using CNC milling and boring machines
and other shop tools.
Hands on experience in tool grinding, installation and
commissioning.
Best practice of Storage and handling of materials and working
tools.
Normal daily tasks will require to lift variable weights, use basic
hand tools, push, or pull and think safety on every task.

Qualification, knowledge, and experience:

10 years’ experience in fabrication of heavy structures and


equipment.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role in fabrication
environment.
Diploma in Engineering/ Technical certifications required.
Experience in operation highly advanced CNC machines is
required.
