NJSLS: Standard 2 obey all classroom rules.
Long-term Goals (Unit Objectives):
(P): SWBAT physically demonstrate all skills needed to participate in a softball game (offense & defense). Ex: batting, fielding, base running, catching a
fly ball, throwing, catching, supporting fellow teammates.
(C): SWBAT understand and explain rules and regulations of softball during the unit written test.
(A): SWBAT verbally communicate feelings felt while participating in modified games of softball.

Short-term Objective:
(P) SWBAT demonstrate and verbally explain the proper techniques of throwing (step with nondominated foot, point toward target,
follow through), catching (out in front, watch ball into glove, center of chest), fielding a groundball (glove on the ground, trap ball),
Week 1 and flyball (get under the ball, two hands, eye on ball) during modified game.
(C) SWBAT describe on paper the cues associated with fielding a groundball, throwing/catching, fielding a fly ball, and the reason for
cut offs on a quiz at the end of the week.
(A) SWBAT work with their teams to successfully complete the provided task without issue throughout the class period.
