concept note.
This collection heavily draws from the eastern style of pattern cutting, especially the way
garments were cut in medieval Japan to optimize the usage of textile, which was not to be
wasted since it was a handspun and handwoven material and required an immense amount of skill
and labour.

The use of shapes in the garments ensures that no fabric is wasted at all and all patterns can
be easily graded up or down without hassle since they are composed primarily of squares,
rectangles, triangles and trapeziums.

The collection is kept undyed to give more importance to the skill of handspun and handwoven
cotton textile in varying weights. This gives for a collection that is minimal, tranquil, fuss
free and pure in essence.

to really show the diversity in fit and size and how
the look is a close knit relationship between the body
and the wearer. Shoot locations could include minimal
