Chapter 1: Before Starting
⚫ Equipment needs
1. PC.
2. Calibrator : Wavetek 9100.
3. Resistance fixture : 0, 500, 5k, 50k, 500, 5M, 38M ohm.
4. Diode fixture.

Chapter 3: Connecting Test
1. Use the APPA optically isolated USB cable to connect PC and the
meter.
2. Starting the “CalWIN507 v2.1” program“.
3. The program starts to scan the COM port number and shows on the
screen.
4. After the connection is made, connection indicator is green, otherwise
indicator is red.
5. The program to connect up to 8 the DMM, but the COM Port only up
to COM9.
6. As shown below, Start COM is COM3. From left to right , respectively,
it’s the COM3~COM9 connection indicator.

⚫ Troubleshooting : Meter & PC can not connect
1. Click windows “Device Manager” and confirm the USB cable device
operating properly.

3. If the device operate properly, but the COM port number isn’t in the
COM1~COM9, please change COM port number. Refer the figure as
below
Step 1 : Click mouse right button to select “Properties”.
Step 2 : Select “Port Settings” and click “Advanced…” button.
Step 3 : Select COM port number in the COM1~COM9.
Step 4 : Click “OK” button to save setting.

Menu Bar
1. File Open Process File…
Open the individual calibration file, these files are all read only.
2. File Save Record Table…
To save calibration data as Excel file.
3. File Print Window…
To print CalWIN507 window screen
4. File Exit
To close CalWIN507 program.

⚫ Operation of the V, mV Calibration
V Calibration
1. Put the Meter’s rotary switch knob in the V position.
2. The Wavetek 9100 V-COM output terminal insert to the Meter V-COM
terminal, and the V-COM terminal between the Meter using parallel
connection.
3. Click the “V” button on CalWIN507 panel to start calibration.
mV Calibration
1. Put the Meter’s rotary switch knob in the mV position.
2. The Wavetek 9100 V-COM output terminal insert to the Meter V-COM
terminal, and the V-COM terminal between the Meter using parallel
connection.
3. Click the “mV” button on CalWIN507 panel to start calibration.
A Calibration
1. Put the Meter’s rotary switch knob in the A position.
2. The Wavetek 9100 A output terminal insert to the first Meter A terminal,
the Wavetek 9100 COM output terminal insert to the last Meter COM
terminal, and the A-COM terminal between the Meter using series
connection.
3. Click the “A” button on CalWIN507 panel to start calibration.
4. Limited to Wavetek 9100 driver ability, the Meter number is most 3
pieces.
mA Calibration
1. Put the Meter’s rotary switch knob in the A position.
2. The Wavetek 9100 A output terminal insert to the first Meter mA
terminal, the Wavetek 9100 COM output terminal insert to the last
Meter COM terminal, and the mA-COM terminal between the Meter
using series connection.
3. Click the “mA” button on CalWIN507 panel to start calibration.
4. Limited to Wavetek 9100 driver ability, the Meter number is most 3
pieces.

⚫ Operation of the Diode Calibration
1. Put the Meter’s rotary switch knob in the Ohm position.
2. Click the “Diode” button on CalWIN507 panel to start calibration.
3. Input Diode fixture standard value then click the “OK” button. The
Diode fixture standard value measurement method please refer
Chapter 1. The figure as below, 500 meant 500mV.
