Teacher (T) puts 6 cards (1-6) on the desk and says: Now I say the name of the thing in the
picture. You point to the correct picture. OK?
T says: table. Then T points to card 1. Now you listen and point to the correct picture. T
says the following things respectively.Student (S) listens and points to the card
corresponding to the thing said by T. Teacher (T) points to the card which has just been
called and asks S.
Teacher does and says this: Minimum response expected from Student: Back-up
questions:
1. T puts card 1 on the desk and says: Now look and listen.
T points to the table in the card and says: The table is here. T pushes card 1 far away from
him/her. Then T points to it and says: The table is over there.
T tells S: Now you do the same. Say the location of the things you see.
T respectively puts 5 cards (2-6) on the desk and points to each card for S to say. S says
the location of the thing in each card. T points to the right cards and says:
Card 2, distance: far The poster is over there. Look. Where’s the poster? Is it over
there?
Card 3, distance: near The picture is here. Where’s the picture? Is it here?
Card 4, distance: far The coat is over there. Where’s the coat? Is it over there?
Card 5, distance: far The bed is over there. Where’s the bed? Is it over there?
Card 6, distance: near The ball is here. Where’s the ball? Is it here?
Teacher does and says this: Minimum response expected from Student: Back-up
questions:
2. T puts card 6 on the table and says: Now look and listen.
T tells S: Now you do the same. Say the location of the things you see. S says the
location of the thing(s) in each card. T points to the thing(s) in the cards and says:
T respectively puts 6 cards (7-12) on the desk for S to say. The ball is on/under the
table. Look. Where’s the ball? Is it on/under the table?
The posters are under the table. … Are they under the table?
The chairs are near the table. … Are they near the table?
The bed is behind the table. … Is it behind the table?

T shows the picture of Nam’s bedroom, and says: Now I ask questions and you answer.
