The patient reported low potassium and eating bananas. The nurse diagnosed the patient with risk for electrolyte imbalance related to low potassium. The nurse objective was for the patient to demonstrate relief from pain after 8 hours of interventions. The nurse interventions included comfort measures, pain assessment, rest, deep breathing exercises, and analgesics. The evaluation was that after 8 hours the patient reported relief of pain and discomfort, had a pain scale of 4/10, and could participate in activities, meeting the goal.
