Let the pupils skip count by 2’s.

c. Motivation
Show a picture of 1 bread that will be divided by 2 hungry children.
Let the children realize the value of sharing (sharing-Integrated to
ESP).

 Ano ang Nakita niyo sa laragway?


 Sa inyo pamatyagan,anhon nila ang tinapay?
 Kon kamu ginagutom tungod sang kapigaduhon kag gamay
lang ang ara nga makaon, ano ang imo himuon pareho sang
mag-utod sa laragway? (sharing-Integrated to ESP)

B. Lesson Proper
1. Activity
Group the pupils into 2.
Ask the pupils of the standards in grouping.

GROUP 1
Direction: color the half part of the shapes.
GROUP 2
Direction: Find the lost half part of the shapes and paste it to
make a whole.

2. Analysis
What did you do in our activity?
What did you do to find the half of a whole?
If you divide the things into two, what will you get?

3. Abstraction/ generalization
What do you call the half part of a whole?
Answer: the half part of a whole is called 1/2.

4. Application
Let each student get a paper and let them divide it into 2
parts.

Direction: Identify and shade using your pencil the half part of a whole.
