I’m really happy I’m coming to stay with you next weekend.
Thank you for saying you can pick me up from the station. I’m not sure how to get to your house, so I would like that
please.
I think both the lake and the wildlife park sound fun, but I think I’d prefer the wildlife park. You see, I’m really interested in
animals and nature, and I would like to take some photos there too.
I want to bring something for your family to thank them for letting me stay. What do you think they would like?

PART 2
2 (sample answer)

In my country there are so many TV programmes, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
I like documentaries because I’m interested in learning about different places and animals, and I like history. I watch
ones about the environment too, because I think that it’s important to know as much as possible about what’s
happening to our planet.
Most of my friends think my programmes are boring! They are more interested in watching reality TV because it helps
them to relax. Even though I don’t agree, I think it’s good that there are things for different people to enjoy.

3 (sample answer)

Mark looked outside and saw that it had finally stopped snowing. ‘Brilliant!’ he thought. ‘Now I can go into town.’ Mark lived
in the mountains and the road down into town was difficult when there was a lot of snow.
He went outside to get into his car – but it wasn’t there! Mark looked confused for a moment before realising that a pile of
snow was covering it. He started digging and was finally ready to go.
He got into town and went to a café with some friends. They were so busy talking he didn’t realise it had started snowing
and his car had disappeared again! Luckily his friends helped him clear off the snow and eventually he got home safely.
