USM-NSTP COMMUNITY IMMERSION PROPOSAL (Template)

Section 1. Title and Description
(Title) is founded by a group of college students from University of Southern Mindanao.
The organization aims to foster a community with a sense of responsibility by empowering
everyone through cleaning the environment. We want to help the campus to stay clean and
have an environment that is favorable to every students since we want a liter-free
environment.

In this project, clean-up drive will be focused at the university campus. The clean-up
drive brings volunteers together to clean, repair, and improve university spaces or other
areas (such as vacant lots or abandoned properties) that have been neglected, vandalized,
or misused. Cleanups show that people who use an area care about its appearance. This
will enhance the image of the university and help the students to focus on class as the
surrounding is clean and well lighted. By cleaning, eliminating tall weeds and debris, or
sprucing up sidewalks and any spaces along the university, it gives attraction to the
students, teachers and visitors. Picking up trash and mowing grass require one level of
skills. Helping hands are the most important ingredient for a successful outcome. Many of
the materials and services needed can be donated by local businesses and governments,
even for a major community spruce-up.

The team will conduct a clean-up drive every Friday. The duty of the students is to
maintain cleanliness in their area. This project deals with numerous activities that would
raise awareness of different aspects, from a clean-up drive operation.
