Subject: Mathematics
I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson with 75% accuracy, the pupils will be able to:
 Subtract 4-digit numbers for, 4-5 digit numbers without regrouping.
 Write correctly the numeral in vertical column according to their place
value.
 Work cooperatively during the class and group activities.

II. Subject Matter:


Topic: Subtracting numbers without regrouping
Materials: play money, television and laptop

III. Procedure/Learning Activities:

Now, let us move to our topic which is


about subtracting four digits without
regrouping.

We have 2 ways on how to subtract.

First, the use of play money.

By the use of money kit we can tell how


much more they earned on the second
day than the first day.

Now, let us pair the money earned in 1st


day to 2nd day.

I will connect first the first two play money
that has the same amount.

Who wants to connect the other pair of


play money having the same amount.

Now, let us pair the money earned in 1st


day to 2nd day.

I will give first an example on how to do it.

On the next pair the pupil will be the one


to pair it on the board.

Now, see there are money that has pair


and there are no pair.

What are the remaining play money that


does not have pair?

Therefore, how much more money did


they earn on the 2nd day?

Let us move to the next way on how to


subtract which is the simplest form or the
short form.

Now. Let us recall the problem.

Just place the minuend and subtracted in


the place value chart.
