Unit 3 Stars and Stripes

The passage discusses two differing perspectives on deforestation and reforestation. One recent report found that reforestation is underway in some countries like China and the US. However, another report argues that expanded woodlands may not be enough to prevent environmental damage, as newly planted trees are not growing quickly enough to reduce carbon dioxide levels. The passage examines the complex issue and varying findings of studies on forests and the environment.
