FOR BEST IMPLEMENTING SCHOOLS OF FLEXIBLE READING
INSTRUCTION AND INTERVENTIONS

I. SEARCH FOR BEST IMPLEMENTING SCHOOL OF 3Bs INITIATIVE

A. Contest Mechanics
1. The Search is open to all public elementary and secondary schools in
the division.
2. The nominees should not have records of dropouts for the past three
school years.
3. The nominees should have zero non-readers at the end of the current
school year.
4. The Search is divided into two categories:
Category A: Elementary Level
Category B: Secondary Level
5. The nominee should submit a nomination write-up following the
enclosed template.
6. Only the Champion in each category and Legislative District shall
advance to the Division Level.
7. Top three winners in each category will be awarded Plaque of
Recognition and Seal of Excellence in Reading Education

B. Criteria for Judging


1. Percentage of learners who read at instructional level 20%
at the end of the school year
2. Percentage of learners who read at independent level 30%
at the end of the school year
3. Innovations in Reading 25%
4. Capability Building for Teachers 10%
5. Support from stakeholders in terms of 10%
volunteer work or financial/material resources

6. Quality of research undertaken while 5%
