Flood Control Project Incidents leaves 1 dead,4 hurt.


One died while four other construction workers are injured in the flood
control project incident happened in Nagtipunan, Dinadlawan road in Quirino
Province, on August 6, 2016, Saturday.

One of the victims is Vicmar Watan, 42 years-old construction worker.


Watan was part of a crew building a wall in a project area in Barangay Pulang
Lupa, in Nagtipunan, when soil around it collapsed that leaves a loss of his life
and an injuries to the rest of the construction worker, Francisco Blanza,42: Jhon
Guiting, 42; Gary Sagubo,4 43; and Jimmy Pumig-as, 40.

. According to Chief Insp. Avelino Cuntapay, Quirino police spokeperson,


Watan died on the way to the Madela District Hospital.

The incident that happens to the imployees of Diamond J Construction will


be shoulder by their employer Jaime Nipahoy. As Nipahoy said, that he will take
the responsibilities in the medical expenses to the injured workers and also the
expenses of Watan’s funeral and burial.
