Executive summary

This assignment helped me to grasp required skills. It is aii about identification and description of the strategies that an

individual can carry so as to achieve better performance and a competitive advantage.

Strategic leadership is a practice in which executives, using different styles of managemet develop a vision for their

organization that enables it to adapt to or remain competitive in a changing economic and techonological climate.

In addition, the task below assisted me in understading the personal growth areas and the way by which I might build my

strategic talents. The personal development plan was created to help me reach my strategic objectives.

Task 1
 Providing findings on the qualities and traits of effective strategic leaders and managers.

Internal choices in today’s global business climate are frequently influenced by unforeseen external changes. It’s worth
nothing that firms are adapting to this ever-changing environment in part by adjusting thier own procedures to become
more agile and flexible.

Q ualities a strategic leader must process:

1. Passion and Commitment:


This is probably quality number one of strategic leader. An organization led by enthusiasm will often entice the
employees to increase their dedication.

2. Strong Communication:
Goods communication skills are a plus to strategic leadership. Yes you may have a coherent idea of whatever you’re
planning to achieve, but if youy cannot communicate it to your team, it will be nearly impossible to execute the plan.

3. Good Communication Skills:


In as such as you are the manager, you still need to embrace listening skills. As they say, good listeners are effective
communicators.

4. Collaboration:
A collaborative approach will go a long way to enhance your company transparency. If your intentions are genuine,
your team won’t hesitate to collaborate with you.

5. Honesty:
Honestly will always take the lead in any startegy. If you are transparent about your reasons, successes, failures, and
objectives will enhance the respect existing between you and your team members.

6. Loyal:
Strategic leaders are amazingly faithful to their group, to their group, to thier association.

TASK 2
 Construct a Continuous Professional Plan that meets Leadership Development requirements identified in the
SWOT analysis, Skill Tests and Skill Audit with respect to your personal career goals and adopted methods used to
achieve the strategic goals. Develop justified recommendations in CPD for developing own strategic leadership
and management Skills and behaviors.

Continuing professional development is the practise of recording and documenting your abilities, knowledge and
experience as you work both formally and informally.

1. Chance of getting more responsibilty by other person.
2.Losing Motivation at times.

1. Leadership:
Whether or not you work in a supervisory position, leadership skills can be a valuable asset in your career. Leadership
abilities mean you can motivate, instruct and offer guidance to others. People with leadership skills are confident in their
abilities to help others work, collaborate, problem-solve or succeed at their responsibilities.

2. Teamwork
People who work well on teams have interpersonal skills, or skills that help them effectively collaborate. Many employees
work in groups with their co-workers or supervisors to full-fill at least some of their job responsibilities. Professionals with
teamwork skills understand how to accomplish their tasks while remaining aware of others' assignments and needs.

3. Emotional intelligence
Emotional intelligence refers to how we express our feelings, relate to others and interpret others' behaviours.
Professionals with emotional intelligence can perceive how others feel through their actions, speech or behaviours. If you
have emotional intelligence, you also can identify, evaluate and assess your own feelings. Emotional intelligence helps
professionals in many social settings, whether with clients, co-workers or managers.

4. Organization
Organizational abilities help you accomplish projects and duties. Professionals with organization skills understand how to
prioritize tasks, create plans and implement solutions. A person's time management often relates closely to their
organizational abilities, as many employers need projects completed efficiently by their deadlines.

5. Flexibility
Supervisors often appreciate employees who can adapt to a variety of situations and challenges. Professionals who are
flexible can understand various perspectives, find alternative solutions to problems and alter their work responsibilities or
processes as needed.

CONCLUSION

This assignment helped me in learning various skills and traits that are required to sustain in organization and persoanal

growth. This assignment also helped me to understand the required skill for a leader by using skill audit questionnaire.

Knowing my strength, limitations, opportunities and threats has led me to create a continual professional development

plan me reach my strategic objectives.
