Top Gun Chapter 1

Lieutenant Pete Mitchell, code-named Maverick, and his radar intercept officer Goose were flying an F-14 Tomcat above the Indian Ocean searching for the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk to land on. The Kitty Hawk was carefully organized to help planes land and take off safely. As Maverick and Goose flew to meet up with other pilots Cougar and Merlin, radar detected an unknown aircraft closing in fast. It turned out to be two hostile Mig jets that engaged in a dogfight with the American pilots. Maverick skillfully flew his jet inverted over the Migs before asking Cougar over the radio if they needed to return to the carrier, but received no response.

Lieutenant Pete Mitchell, code-name Maverick and his radar interceptor officer Goose
were above the Indian Ocean at 20000 feet, the were searching the Kitty Hawk an aircraft
carrier where they could land with an optimal speed of 120 knots and through potential
winds and updrafts and downpulls.
The Kitty Hawk was perfectly organized with a staff that can help the landing and the
takeoff planes. The LSO was sliding a Tomcat on the home plate, below decks there was
the air operation room where scopes and radars where turning, the squadron commander
arrived and asked about Cougar and Merlin and Maverick and Goose, suddenly a radar
operator said that there was an unidentified plane inbound, the CCA said that they have
an unknown contact on his vector, and Merlin answered that they understand while
Maverick and Goose were flying to Cougar and Merlin. The two F-14 closed ranks.
On the UHF channel maverick said that he will ID them, than Maverick communicate that
the unknown aircraft was closing fast then Cougar said to his RIO to search the trailer, but
he can’t see anything.
Maverick in his plane has a snapshot of a pretty little girl with a baby.
They were in combat spread, and they think that it’s only one, But another one Mig
arrived and locked the strobe on Cougar, merlin said that Mig-Twentyone didn’t have
missiles but but after he retired what he said and adverted the other, then Cougar locked
Mig one, then bandits were turning away so Cougar broke left but Maverick communicate
that Bogey two were on cougar, then cougar broke out and saw the Maverick’s F-14 were
flying inverted on the mig, after that Maverick used the UHF to communicate with Cougar
and asked if they have to return to the base, but nobody answered the question.
