All Time Low- Weightless video deconstruction.

This snap shot is from the opening, and sets the scene for the audience, displaying a backstage arena from a show. There is high pitched screams and obviously the girls are talking over each other before the track starts- this suggests theyre in frantic atmosphere! As well as this, the lead singer is towers over all of the girls, which in my opinion shows his status, he is seen by these girls as above them and better. Also, because it is a sweeping shot it gives a smooth, slick feel to start of the video which gives a classy/professional edge to it- something I would like to incorporate in my own piece!

This is a POV shot used from Alexs (the lead singer) POV. I think this is cleverly done as the writing about their heads is supposed to be Alexs thoughts/opinions on the girls, this girls a personal feel to the video and although many people may not admit it, shows how easily we judge each other. The shot is fast pace and flickers around the circle of girls which gives the impression that Alexs mind is all over the place and so he cannot think straight due to the pressure. I like the technique of using someones POV to give a different view point on the story.

This shot is almost solo, and it includes Alex singing along to the words of the song. I think this adds to the connection between artist and song, as well as demonstration roles between the band (the others following them and collecting instruments etc.). The fact the font says Nothing Personal is very significant and appears throughout all of the video after the thoughts, this creates continuity and promo, as their album was named it! This shot is the performance scene; this is featured in most bands videos. This is because it gives the audience a sense of connection between the music and the band scenes because I like the effect fading between that are performinghelps the video to I think thedevelop I think it it! As well as this flow, and fact it incorporatesThis whole band be good, and I to use, smoothly. the idea would is a good one would like to use a the audience in my final and if as it would keep shot like this interested production. It also gives a settingvery effective, done at the right pace, can be and background to basechoppy, cut scenes whichOn rather than using your storyboard around! look top of this- they have many solo shots point is very unprofessional. Also, the centre of the band playing their instruments which I is centre used again, as the lead singer (who think is important as it gives ain anotherfeel and again, screen) fades to be personal situation, which draws on good level of continuity to the video! adds a the connection.
