Correction Factor

This document contains a figure with four charts showing correction factor curves for different types of shell-and-tube and cross-flow heat exchangers. The charts provide correction factors that relate the logarithmic mean temperature difference to the effectiveness-NTU method of heat exchanger analysis. Chart (a) is for a one-shell pass with an even number of tube passes. Chart (b) is for a two-shell pass with a multiple of four tube passes. Chart (c) is for a single-pass cross-flow with both fluids unmixed. Chart (d) is for a single-pass cross-flow with one fluid mixed and the other unmixed.
