Bab 1 Pola dan Jujukan/ Patterns and Sequences


Sebutan sesuatu jujukan dikenali sebagai sebutan ke-n dan ditulis sebagai Tn iaitu T ialah sebutan manakala n
ialah kedudukan sebutan.
The nth term in a number sequence is written as Tn whereby T is the term and n is the position of the term.

Tn = sebutan ke-n
Tn = nth term

1 Menulis sebutan-sebutan suatu jujukan apabila diberi sebutan ke-n.


Writing the terms of a sequence when given the nth term.

(a) Tulis lima sebutan pertama bagi setiap jujukan berikut:


Write down the first five terms for each of the following sequences:

(i) Sebutan ke-n, Tn = 5n – 2


nth term, Tn = 5n – 2

Contoh jawapan/ Example of answer: 3, 8, 13, 18, 23, …


(ii) Sebutan ke-n, Tn = 3n + 7
nth term, Tn = 3n + 7
(iii) Sebutan ke-n, Tn = 3 – 2n
nth term, Tn = 3 – 2n

(b) Adakah setiap jujukan di 1(a) mempunyai beza sebutan yang sama? Jika ya, apakah perkaitan di
antara beza sebutan dengan gandaan dalam sebutan ke-n?
Does every sequence in 1(a) have the common difference between terms? If so, what is the relation between
the common difference of the terms and the multiples in the nth term?

2 (a) Menulis sebutan ke-n apabila diberi beberapa sebutan.


Write the nth term when a few terms are given.

(i) 6, 10, 14, 18, …

(ii) – 4, 2, 8, 14, …

(iii) 11, 13, 15, 17, …

(iv) 6.5, 8, 9.5, 11, …

Contoh jawapan/ Example of answer:

(i) 6 = 4 × 1 + 2
10 = 4 × 2 + 2
14 = 4 × 3 + 2
18 = 4 × 4 + 2

Tn = 4n + 2, n = 1, 2, 3, …

1 Guru mengemukakan soalan kepada murid-murid dalam kelas.

2 Setiap murid diberikan masa untuk berfikir dan kemudian membincangkan soalan itu dengan murid
lain secara berpasangan.
Every student is given some time to think and then discuss the question with other student in pair.

3 Kemudian, semua murid diminta berkongsi jawapan masing-masing.


Then, all students are asked to share their answers.

Bab 12 Sukatan Kecenderungan Memusat/ Measures of Central Tendencies


1 Murid-murid dibahagikan kepada beberapa kumpulan. Setiap kumpulan dikehendaki membina satu
masalah membabitkan min, mod dan median bagi suatu perwakilan data.
Students are divided into groups. Every group is required to construct a problem regarding mean, mode and
median of a representative data.
2 Kumpulan pertama akan menghantarkan masalah atau soalan yang dibina kepada kumpulan kedua
untuk mencari penyelesaian atau jawapan. Kumpulan kedua akan menghantar pula masalah atau
soalan yang dibina oleh mereka kepada kumpulan ketiga dan seterusnya.
The first group will send the problem or question constructed to the second group to solve. The second group
will send their constructed problem or question to the third group and so on.
3 Setelah selesai, setiap kumpulan akan memulangkan masalah atau soalan berserta dengan jawapan
kepada kumpulan berkenaan.
After solving the questions, every group will return the problem or question with the answer to the concerned
group.
4 Setiap kumpulan akan memberi maklum balas ke atas jawapan yang diberi oleh kumpulan lain.
Every group will respond to the given answer by the other group.
