11th Tactical Reconnaissance squadron

The formation of this squadron ‚It goes back to before the Iranian revolution ‚This
squadron started its work in Tehran in the ‚At first, this squadron was equipped
with RF-5A plane And then went to RF4 to increase the power ‚ After the
revolution, this squadron went to the brink of destruction ‚Meanwhile, the photo
phantoms were transferred to Hamadan

Iran received a total of 16 RF5A aircraft

which were in service until 1983
when they were decommissioned
due to poor performance.
With the start of the Iran-Iraq war in 1980-88, the expelled pilots returned and
started the key to many important operations. The brave pilots of this squadron
repeatedly penetrated deep into Iraqi soil and recorded the best photos and
information. This squadron played a very important and key role in the Black Gene
project, which was a collaboration between Iran and the United States in spying on
the Soviet Union Photographing Iraq's refineries, military/political and economic
centers was not the job of every pilot, and many of the photos obtained are still
classified. When the revolution happened, many soldiers were executed.
In this process and brutal murders
Many RF4 pilots of the Reconnaissance Battalion also suffered this fate.
Extremism at the beginning of the revolution was so extreme that when the people
at the top of the pyramids did not like someone's Croat, they made him fall into the
illusion of Nogeh coup and as a result, he was executed.
A number of them were removed from the army by their superiors without any
reason.
Some of them went to England and abroad, some of them stayed in the army, and
some of them...
Many of those who had gone and had the best facilities for them abroad, when they
saw Saddam's seemingly sweet dream, they returned to the army in any way and
turned that dream into a bitter nightmare.

RF4s played anessential

role in the war and were
always present in enemy
skies before and
after
Any mission
One of the best missions that the 11th Reconnaissance Battalion did was in the first
days of the war.
It can be said that anyone who is interested in the history of the Air Force and the
epic creations of the Delaware Army, has heard the name of the Kaman 99
mission.
This Kaman 99 mission was actually the Alborz mission that was designed by the
army before the revolution.
At that time (before the revolution), Mohammad Reza Pahlavi was sure that one
day Saddam would attack Iran, so he planned a secret mission and if one day
Saddam took a left look at Iran, with F16, F18, F4G, E, D F5 with F14 cover to
destroy Iraq. After the Iraqi revolution, he attacked the Hara base and bombed it
Immediately, 4 RF4 planes went to Iraq and brought all the necessary information,
and kaman99 was a massive attack began.
Another wartime saga created by this battalion was the operation to liberate
Khorramshahr.
A series of photos were needed to build the bridge by Mahmoud Eskandari and Ali
Akbar Zamani and the rest of the soldiers.
Many times, this battalion tried to take those photos, but they did not succeed.....
It was a day when Iraqi soldiers were patrolling and the weather was very bad And
no one in Iraq thought the army would do anything.
Suddenly, several F4Es and F14s appeared, covering the RF4.
It was very difficult for Photo Phantoms to penetrate that area, several missiles
were fired by Iraqi MiGs at these Phantoms, but with the amazing courage of the
pilots, those missiles were deflected and the photos were taken and returned to
Bushehr.
And they started liberating Khorramshahr from here
A look at the top pilots of this squadron:
He was studying in Austria, when he saw the war
r, he quickly returned to Iran, was recruited by
the
air force, and because of his talent, he was quickly
transferred to the 11th Reconnaissance Squadron
Naser Rizvani They were so compassionate
skilled and superior in their work that the
squadron still hasn't forgotten their work.
The commander who made the impossible

history who can be said to be an
unrepeatable legend. A pilot who
had made
no sacrifice for his country, but was
arrested by the revolutionary
officers
of the Islamic Republic and executed on charges of espionage.

With thousands of hours of flying with RF4, they went to the heart of Iraq and
returned, even though each time a missile was locked on their plane and Azrael
was practically no longer near them, but they did not give in to death and came
back alive and did something for the army to destroy the identified areas. be more
