The College for Research and Technology of Cabanatuan (CRT) started as a computer
school and has been known to be the first computer school in Nueva Ecija. It pioneered in
applying a different approach in education like embedding competency courses to
baccalaureate course that even the more established colleges and universities followed. After
the main campus was established in 1988 at Cabanatuan City, a strategic plan was laid-out by
its president, Dr. Reynato C. Arimbuyutan to establish campuses in all of the four districts of
Nueva Ecija. In this way, it was envisioned to contend with the growing desire of students to
study in their places of abode but with the quality of education comparable to its main campus.
The first Branch established after its Main Campus was the Gapan Branch which opened in
1997. Currently, it is located at Abad Santos Street, Barangay Santo Nino, Gapan City with the
hope that the college-owned campus will be built on its lot along Maharlika Highway,
Bayanihan, Gapan City in the near future. After three years Guimba Campus was built, located
at Parairo St., Saranay Dist., Guimba, Nueva Ecija and followed by San Jose Campus located
at Sanchez St., San Jose City. The Gapan, Guimba and San Jose branches are Extension
Campuses of the Main Branch that offers two years Technical Courses preparatory to a degree
course applying the ladderized education approach. TechVoc courses are embedded in all of
its curricular courses. This system had been institutionalized by CHED and TESDA to produce
more skilled students and increase the chance for employment of graduates. Presently, CRT
had been given by the Department of Education permit to operate the Senior High School in
all of its branches. Its expertise in TechVoc education for the past two decades had been
considered. In this instance, CRT had been given permits and recognition of the trifocalized
system of education in the Philippines: CHED, TESDA and DepEd. The last four years had
been a tremendous moment for the college with the completion of three additional buildings in
Guimba, San Jose and Cabanatuan and the Gymnasium in Gapan. Winning back to back
Championship in Cheerdance Competition at the Nueva Ecija Collegiate Students League
(NECSL), Championship at NECSL Women Volleyball Competition, the provincial Step-Up
Dance Competition championship, and many more representing the best of a true Crtians.
Also, the college witnessed the first batch of BTTE graduates who passed the Licensure
Examination for Teachers (LET). All the baccalaureate degrees offered by the college: B.S. in
Information Technology, B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management, B.S. in Tourism
As a student, knowing yourself, including the things you are best at, and the skills that
could do with a little more work can be invaluable. Indeed, not only can understanding your
strengths and weaknesses help you improve your performance and build on existing success,
but this knowledge can also demonstrate the critical insight that teachers, professors, and
future employers will be looking for. Being creative means being able to come at a problem
from different and unusual perspectives. It often refers to visuals creatively, but can also
include being able to think in a novel and unexpected way.
None of us are perfect, and this means it’s likely that we will have at least some
Strengths
First of all, let’s focus on the positives and the strengths that we have as students:
Focus - Being focused means that you can stay on task without additional prompting from
teachers. Focus is an important strength because it means you can work independently and
don’t need constant supervision to get a task done.
Kind - Being kind is a vital strength, both in the classroom and in the outside world. Kindness
is about treating others with respect and recognizing their individuality and humanity and
acting in line with this.
Determined - Being determined is a valuable strength for students because School can often
be challenging both socially and academically., especially in classes that are not our favorite.
However, by being determined to succeed you can stop small setbacks from impacting your
ability to achieve over the long term.
Weaknesses
Impatient - Being impatient means you find it hard to wait your turn or let others have their
say. You may want to know the answer to the question right away without going through the
correct process of solving it.
In the first week of my Ojt, I was able to develop a sense of diligence in every work
assignment given to me. Adding extra care means being always attentive to the present

situation, keeping the mind focused with what is currently handled, getting particular with
every single detail without missing anything. This is the first thing that I must remember while
working on the computer such as editing some layouts. I learned about the basic concepts
associated in different activities which are helpful in understanding its relation to other
transaction and work. Lastly, I learned about some rules and procedures that should be strictly
exercised and practiced. Sometimes, I was stuck with ample works to do all at the same time.
At first, I found it so hard considering which task must be given priority that I forgot some
other things undone.
“I learned through experience how to interact and communicate with people. Knowing how to
handle and tackle different issues and still be diplomatic in both action and words is important.
The whole experience of going to another country and facing issues that need to be addressed
was quite memorable.
I’ve learned a lot of things in just 200 hours of on the job training but I’ve noticed that there
are still other things that I have to improve one of it is my confusing mind. I was able to
learned how to accept small or big mistakes. In this practicum, I’ve learned how to face the
real world and talked to different people. In my first day of practicum, I thought I was not able
to do well but as time passed by I know i gained more self-confidence and self-esteem. I
learned also how important the time management is in this practicum.
The longer you do something the more you learn. The faster you gain knowledge & become a
productive worker. just be yourself and trust what you can do.
OJT or On-Job-Training is the activity of the students wherein they are trained or
prepared to a certain job or career. It is also a requirement of a course before graduation. The
students are assigned in different branches of government of private offices wherein they are
assigned or perform their work to prepare and exposed themselves to a chosen career.
OJT program is effective. However, despite its effectiveness, there are some flaws in the
delivery of the program which in turn an opportunity to further strengthen and improved for
the benefits of its graduates in general. I learn a lot of things in my OJT, some of it I adopt
and apply to myself and some of it helps develop my skills and enhance my knowledge. I was
so thankful that I have my OJT in this part of my group. I learn to be more patient in every
task that given to me, to be nice and humble in every person I interact and most of all to love
my works.
OBJECTIVE
To secure a challenging position in a reputable organization to expand my learnings,
knowledge and skills, secure a responsible career opportunity to fully utilize my training and
skills, while making a significant contribution to the success of the company.
